Find your event before planning the visit
Dhahran Expo hosts different types of events, so start with the specific event name, dates and organizer rather than treating the venue as one permanent exhibition. Its website provides separate visitor, exhibitor and organizer routes and a calendar with year-specific lists. Use those to locate the relevant event, then check the organizer’s current registration instructions and public opening hours. A listing at the venue does not establish that admission is free, that registration is open or that every day has the same access conditions. Keep your confirmation available and verify the entrance before departing. If you need assistance with access or a booking, contact the event organizer through its published route. MBS does not provide venue admission or manage the venue’s event calendar. This guide helps distinguish the visitor journey from the separate production arrangements needed for an exhibition booth.
Check the Eastern Province destination and entrance
The venue’s official location page places Dhahran Expo between the Khobar, Dammam and Dhahran area in the Eastern Province. Use its location link and your event’s current instructions to plan the final approach. Do not confuse the venue with exhibition centres in Riyadh or Jeddah. Travel times depend on your starting point and conditions, so this guide does not repeat the venue website’s estimated drive times as guarantees. Visitors should check parking and entrance arrangements for the event they have booked. Contractors and delivery vehicles may need a different route, permit or time window. If you are coordinating several suppliers, circulate one approved set of arrival instructions with the hall and contact details. Confirm any accessibility requirements directly with the organizer before the visit. A general venue map is useful orientation, but it does not establish the access entitlement attached to your ticket or contractor badge.
Use the right document for each decision
| Document | What it helps establish | What still needs confirmation |
|---|---|---|
| Venue location | The destination and surrounding area | Your event entrance and current access route |
| Hall plan | The hall geometry and permanent features | Your allocated booth and event-specific layout |
| Electrical or rigging plan | The published technical reference | Booked services and specialist approvals |
| Exhibitor manual | Event deadlines and contractor requirements | Current revision and responsibility for each submission |
Read venue plans alongside the exhibitor manual
Dhahran Expo publishes venue-plan and organizer-download pages, including references for halls, electrical layouts and rigging. These can help a production team understand the building, but they do not replace the layout and rules for your particular exhibition. Start with the allocated booth number, dimensions and open sides, then request the latest organizer manual and drawing requirements. Check which permanent features or service points affect your allocation before approving a design. If a structure needs specialist review, identify the responsible engineer and approving party instead of inferring permission from a drawing. Give the production team equipment dimensions, display weights, graphics and meeting requirements so the physical scope can be assessed. We do not treat a published hall plan as a promise of available services, floor loading or permitted height for every event. MBS’s quotation should identify the agreed fabrication and installation work and the approvals that remain outside it.
Agree delivery, assembly and return responsibilities
Ask your organizer for the current contractor access window, loading process, service deadlines and required handover time. Send those details with the allocation and approved design so production can be scheduled against the actual event requirements. If displays or equipment arrive from another company, assign responsibility for receipt, assembly and testing before the vehicle reaches the venue. At handover, compare the booth with the approved drawings and scope, record remaining items, and agree who closes them. During the exhibition, keep separate contacts for physical booth issues and equipment or organizer services. Dismantling should follow the release time in the event instructions. Decide in advance which components return, how they are packed and whether storage is included. MBS confirms availability and responsibilities through the quotation; this venue guide does not claim approved-supplier status, documented work at Dhahran Expo or an automatic production slot.
